Come and join us from 10.30 – 12noon for a leisurely ramble either up Castle Hill in Newhaven or along the undercliff at West Beach.
Castle Hill Nature Reserve is the beautiful area leading up to Newhaven Fort. We shall be led by Neil Greenaway from the Castle Hill Preservation Society who has extensive knowledge of the plants trees, birds, insects, history and geology of the area.
This is the sixth year that a member of the Castle Hill Preservation Society has volunteered to lead these rambles. We thank them very much. As the team are all volunteers we do ask those who are joining us to give a small contribution to the Castle Hill Preservation Society.
We meet at the corner of Fort Road and Gibbon Road in Newhaven.
Unfortunately, we can only have a group of 10 for each ramble and anyone who attends will need to have appropriate footwear as the terrain can be quite hilly and muddy.
I will need your mobile phone number and an emergency contact number. Not that we have ever had any accidents but we must adhere to the Health and Safety Policy.
